Robert Hamilton is the Chairman of the Trustees. He is a Roman Catholic priest and is a former Superior General of the Josephites. He has lived and worked in DR Congo and has made frequent visits to Josephite schools and parishes in DR Congo, Cameroon and Gabon.
Neil Twist is our Finance Director. Neil brings to the Trustees a wealth of management and accounting experience in business and is responsible to the Trustees for maintaining a careful overview of the Trust's finances and ensuring that our affairs are conducted in strict accordance with UK Charity law.
Michael Powell is our Project Coordinator. He is a Josephite with many years of experience as a teacher and administrator. As a child he lived in West Africa and in recent years he has visited DR Congo and Cameroon.
Jacob Beya Kadumbu is a Roman Catholic priest and is currently Superior General of the Josephites. He is Congolese and has served in various positions of responsibility in Africa, including being Provincial Superior. To the Trustees he brings a wide knowledge of the conditions in those geographical areas where we try to offer support.
Martin Knops OBE worked for many years with Oxfam and is a professional counsellor. His experience of work with Oxfam brings a deep fund of insight and good advice to the Trust's affairs.
Joan Davies is originally from Karachi and has had a long career teaching and lecturing in Mathematics while bringing up a family.
Samantha Turner is a teacher at St George's College, Weybridge, working within the Religious Studies department. She is also an active and life-long member of the Salvation Army.
Denzil Mascarenhas is the website administrator. Denzil has significant management and business experience in Logistics and IT and is also currently working with two other charities.
None of the Trustees of SJAA receive any remuneration for their services. Apart from the expenses of running the charity, which are minimal, 100% of any money donated is used to fund projects.
